Juwel Energy and JP solely funded a new 10-unit residential facility for the Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF).

The facility is worth US$250,000 and will house junior rank soldiers of the 64th Infantry Regiment in Accra, the Counter-Terrorism Unit of the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF). Each of the ten apartment units has a bedroom, living area, washroom and kitchen.

At the commissioning event, Mr. John Osei-Wusu, CEO of JP Trustees Ltd, remarked that the building was a product of his respect for the uniform, the Ghanaian military’s integrity, discipline, and sense of ownership. Mr. Osei-Wusu expressed appreciation to Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah and commended his exploits and his commitment to Ghana’s development, citing Major General Oppong-Peprah’s involvement with the establishment of the Ghana COVID-19 Treatment Centre at the Ga East Government Hospital.

Chief of the Army Staff (COAS), Major General Thomas Oppong-Peprah commissioned the new residential facility and remarked that the 64th Infantry Regiment had encountered acute accommodation challenges even though the regiment plays a strategic role for Ghana Armed Forces. He thanked Mr. John Osei-Wusu and the JP Trustees and Juwel Energy teams for their magnanimity, and assured them that their names would be written in letters of gold.

JP Trustees is committed to giving back to society, especially to communities where it operates through its corporate social responsibility initiatives.
