John Bakah

John Bakah is an accomplished business executive with extensive experience spanning the downstream oil and gas sector, financial services, and enterprise growth strategy. He currently serves as the Chief Business Officer (CBO) of Juwel Energy Limited, where he leads commercial strategy, business development, and market expansion.



Over the years, he has held several strategic roles within the organisation, including Marketing and Business Development Manager, Operations Manager, Assistant Trade Manager, Strategy and Administrative Officer, and Marketing & Business Development Officer. He has contributed to strengthening the company’s market position and scaling its operations through the delivery of growth-focused initiatives and leading high-impact operational transformations.

John began his professional career with Barclays Bank of Ghana, where he developed a strong foundation in banking operations, marketing, and client acquisition. He later joined Dwadifo Adanfo Microfinance Limited, where he rose to the position of General Manager, overseeing core banking operations, strategy, and reporting while driving institutional growth and performance. Beyond his corporate responsibilities, he is committed to leadership development and mentorship, with a passion for building systems and people that drive long-term impact.

John is a member of the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) and holds the ACMA, CGMA designations. He holds an MBA in Finance from Methodist University College, Ghana, and a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS). He has also completed executive training in Executing Strategy for Results at London Business School.
