Gifty Ashiley

Gifty Ashiley is a seasoned governance, risk and compliance executive with 2 decades of experience in oil and gas management. She currently serves as the Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at Juwel Energy Limited and previously held the role of Risk Manager at Ebony Oil and Gas Limited, a Bulk Distribution Company (BDC) in Ghana.

Gifty’s extensive career spans both the upstream and downstream sectors of the oil and gas industry, with experience both in Ghana and internationally. She has held roles with Schlumberger and GECAD Inc., a partner of General Electric.

Gifty has also served as a board member of the Ghana Chamber of Bulk Oil Distributors, contributing her expertise within the sector. She also provides strategic risk and compliance leadership support to JP Trustees Limited, working closely with the team on cash flow management decisions and supporting retail network expansion initiatives. She is recognized for her impactful contributions to every organization she has been part of. A strong advocate for knowledge sharing, she is passionate about coaching and mentoring the next generation of professionals in the energy sector.

Her educational background includes a Master of Business Administration (Finance) from the University of Ghana Business School (UGBS), and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST). She has further honed her leadership and strategic expertise through executive training programs at Harvard Business School and the London Business School.
